The Ward Street Church of Christ has a large number of children. The Youth Group is comprised of those in the 6th grade through the 12th grades, and their goal is to draw closer to God through a wide array of activities and events. The Youth Ministry falls under the guidance of one of our Deacons, John Wooding, and also involves many parents that take turns working with the youth for two month intervals. Aside from the annual Youth Rally which we co-host with the Manchester Church of Christ, the youth group enjoys monthly activities ranging from devotionals and times of fellowship. They frequently attend area-wide youth rallies, as well as other youth activities.

One of the big events planned every two years is the Ward Street mission trip to Mexico. Several of our youth group, along with a some adult sponsors from Ward Street, fly to Mexico, where along with sharing the message of Jesus, they build two houses from the ground up for two families in need. This mission trip itself encourages those going, as well as those that stay behind and help support the trip. Events that are held to raise funds for the trip include a "Mexico Breakfast", a "Mexico Auction" and other fundraising activities.
