| In writing to encourage his young protege, Timothy, the apostle Paul wrote..."Let no one look down on your youthfulness, but rather in speech, conduct, love, faith and purity, show yourself an example of those who believe." (1 Timothy 4:12) | | The youth are not the church of tomorrow, they are the church of today. They have a great capacity to serve and show determination in the face of life's difficulties. They inspire us with their excitement and model Christ in so many ways as an example to those both younger and older. Our brother, John Wooding, has always had a special place in his life for the youth and has been appointed to the role of deacon in charge of overseeing the work with our teens. | | | |

Why I love working with teens |

I'm not exactly sure when it happened, but I've had a special bond with teens for as long as I can remember. Maybe it's because I'm a kid at heart. The teens inspire me and really challenge me to be my best. They tend to be very passionate about what they believe in and that rubs off. They have that "I can do anything" mentality which I admire and strive to live in my own life. I've been working with the teens for about 25 years now and I still love it as much as ever. I'm not sure how much longer the Lord has plans for me to be involved in this work, but I'll do it for as long as He needs me. Praise God for our youth. John Wooding |
